Public holidays don’t always align neatly with the way organisations schedule work. That’s where the Offset feature becomes invaluable.

Normally, a public holiday begins at 00:00, but by applying an offset, you can bring the start time forward to better reflect operational needs. For example, offsetting Christmas Day by five hours shifts the holiday start to 19:00 the evening before.

This flexibility allows businesses to account for specific shift patterns, ensure accurate pay calculations, and manage enhanced rates more effectively

  1. Click Settings, then click Finance.

  2. Click Public Holidays, then select the relevant record.

  3. In the offset column, enter the number of hours earlier you want the holiday to start.

  4. Click Save.
