You can set duration overrides on all forms of rate sheets, which apply a flat rate to any shifts that fall within the timeframe.

To do this for either invoice or payroll, follow these simple steps:

  1. Click Settings, then click Finance.

  2. Click Invoice or Payroll, then click Rate Sheets.

  3. Next to the required rate sheet, click the arrow button, then click the Revisions tab.

  4. Next to the most recent revision, click the arrow button, then click the Details tab.

  5. Next to the required service type, click the arrow button, then click Duration Overrides.

  6. Click the plus button, then fill in the override you’d like.

  7. Click the save button, then click the Revisions tab.

  8. Click the Apply? text and wait till it shows Applied status.

Example override

Here's an example of a duration override setup.

Time

Amount

15 minutes

£5

30 minutes

£10

45 minutes

£15

60 minutes

£20

This means that any visit between 0 and 15 minutes has a value of £5, 16 to 30 minutes is £10 etc. Once the visit duration goes over 60 minutes, the rate reverts to the hourly rate.

Generate multiple records

If you need to generate multiple records simultaneously, you can use the Duration Override Wizard using these simple steps.

  6. At the bottom of the screen, click the green dot, then click Wizard.

  7. Fill in the override you’d like, then click the save button.

The Initial Rate and Initial Duration create the first duration override. Additional Rate refers to how much the fixed rate increases by, and the Additional Duration refers to over what period these increases occur.

Live in service

Duration overrides are the best way to pay or charge a block amount for Live-In care.

You'll need to work out the visit length in minutes and set it up using the steps above.
