Service types are used to help break down visits into smaller services. They can be used for reporting on a specific visit type, help with planning allocation, as well as to help differentiate pay or invoice bands on rate sheets. For example, a care visit type could be paid different to a shadowing visit type.

Firstly, you need to create a service type to do this follow these steps:

  1. Click Settings, then click Service User.

  2. Click Service User, then click Service.

  3. Click Types, then click the plus icon.

  4. Enter the relevant details.

  5. Click save, then click on the new service type.

  6. From the QuickLinks, click Service Requirement Types.

  7. Select the relevant checkboxes to link them to the Service Type.

  8. Click Save.

๐Ÿค“Tip: See the table below for further information about the options on the Planning Rule Checks tab.

  5. Select all of the relevant check boxes.

  6. Click Save.

๐Ÿค“Tip: To create a new visit type, select the plus icon at the top right.

Add to rate sheet

Once you have created the service type and associated this to a visit type you can add the service type to a rate sheet by following these steps:

  1. Click Settings then point to Finance.

  2. Point to Invoice then click Rate Sheets.

  3. Next to your rate sheet, click the arrow button, then click Revisions.

  4. Next to your most recent revision, click the arrow button, then click Details.

  5. Click the plus button then on the service type list, select your new service type.

  6. Fill in the Start time and Invoice rate (Per Hrs) fields, then add any additional rates for the days of the week.

  7. Click the save button then click Revisions.

๐Ÿ“Œ Note: The system runs on a 24-hour cycle, so if the rate stay the same for the whole day, set your start time to 00:00. Make sure the rate sheet start date is before or the same date as when you would like the visits to start.
