Create a service package type

In this article, we explain how to create a service package type.

Service package types need to be created in order to associate a service package with an invoice run.

πŸ“Œ Note: Once a service package type is in use, the record cannot be deleted.

To create a service type, follow these simple steps.

  1. Click Settings, then click Finance.

  2. Click Invoice, then click Service Packages.

  3. Click Service Package Types.

  4. Click the plus icon, then add the relevant details.

  5. Click save.

Description

Hide Calculated Amounts

Hides the daily, weekly, monthly and annual amounts calculated when a service package record is added.

Hide Overridden Amounts

Hides the ability to override the daily, weekly, monthly and annual amounts calculated when a service package record is added.

Base Type

The default time period over which the service package amounts are calculated. The values are Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Annually and Fixed.

Track Service Package Hours

Indicates whether tracked hours can be input against the service package.

Configure additional hours

Once the service package type has been saved, you can add additional hourly rates where hours of care exceed what is specified in the service package details:

  1. Click the Additional Hours tab.

  2. Add hourly rates where hours of care exceed the service package specifications.

Additional hours that exceed the maximum value specified in the Up To Hours (per Week) column will not be charged.
