Timeline
The Timeline feature in Access Care Rostering has undergone a visual refresh, bringing a cleaner interface while retaining all the familiar functionality. Alongside the updated design, several new features enhance usability and efficiency.
Service users and employees
Service users now appear at the top of the timeline by default, with employees listed below. Each section includes its own filters, making it easier to search and find what you need.
Clicking on an employee or service user's name takes you directly to their record. The arrow next to their name opens a week view for quick scheduling insights.
The visit information section has been relocated to the right-hand side, but it still includes all the essential action buttons: Copy, Cancel, Send SMS, Send Email, and Show Route.
New features and enhancements

Current time indicator | Displays a red line on today’s plan to show the current time, helping track ongoing and upcoming visits. |
Go to today button | Quickly returns you to today’s view when browsing other days. |
Colour coding | Availability, holiday, and unavailability remain colour-coded; areas with no availability now appear shaded. |
Visit offers | Highlights how many times a visit has been offered. |
Continuity percentage | Shows the continuity percentage beneath each employee’s name for easy reference. |
Visit summary | Appears in the right-hand panel; selected visits are outlined with a border instead of being greyed out. |
Drag and drop scheduling | Use the Lock and Unlock button to move, extend, or shorten visits by dragging when the button is unlocked. |
Right-click action | Access Allocate, Unallocate, Copy, and Cancel options with a simple right-click on any visit. |
Template and bulk visit
The Template button has been relocated to the right-hand panel for easier access. To view a service user's templates, click Template Details.
Bulk Visits now appear in the Advanced tab on the right-hand panel and function just as they did in Access People Planner.
Viewing visit details
There are two ways to view full visit details:
Select a visit and click Full Visit Details in the right-hand panel. Use the More option at the top to access the Quicklinks menu.
Double-click the visit to view it directly.
